Back to work!

It has been such an awesome time off together as a family. But now we must get back into the swing of things. We are making a few changes and leaving many things the same. Jonathan will continue with his phonics, math and lots of read alouds. Allison will begin a geography study using Paddle to the Sea. She will also focus on US and World map labeling with an emphasis on learning all of the state capitals. We are reading The Cricket in Time Square together which I have to admit is one of my favorites. We will begin a study of Mozart to go along with this. She will continue her Abeka Math, BJUP English, Latina Christiana 1, Apologia Science, Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day, spelling and vocabulary. She is really progressing in her ability to read above grade level. Aaron will begin Sonlight 100, An In depth Study of US History. Finally we are all studying the same thing! He begins with Joy Hakim's The History of US, and Peace Child. He continues with TT Algebra 1, Apologia Physical Science, Latin in the Christian Trivium, Grammar and Composition, Fallacy Detective, and Bible study books. Bryan continues to work through TT Algebra 1, Honor's Biology, Latin, Grammar and Composition, IEW Level C Continuation Course, Wordly Wise Vocabulary, and Notgrass American History and Literature. Morgan's classes are the same as before. She is beginning an SAT prep class on-line to help prepare her for her test this spring. She also spends a lot of time studying for her AP and SAT II Biology exams. She will be very busy this semester. Our plan is that she will begin her college classes as a dual enrollment student in the summer. I am finishing up lesson plans and getting everything ready for the week. Actually everyone is ready to begin again.
